MM-AZ: Our Purpose
In our opinion, as soon as this Act goes into effect, there will be a mad dash of investors, employers, activists and entrepreneurs looking to get involved. The truth is, these dispensaries make money, and quite a bit of it.
The proof is in the results from other states. Many states like California and Colorado discovered quickly that limits needed to be enforced to ensure that dispensaries didn't pop up on every street corner. The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act limits the number of dispensaries based on geographic location, number of pharmacies in a location, and population to an estimated 200 dispensaries for the entire state.
Logic dictates that success will go to those who are prepared the quickest, possibly including some who wish to be prepared even before the big vote.
Therefore, our goal is to provide resources to those who are active in preparing for the Act to take effect.
The first resource we foresaw was employees. 200 dispensaries, with a low estimate of 10-25 employees each, plus another 10-25 for a matched off site prep or grow area means 20-50 jobs per dispensary or 400-1000 jobs across the state. The act specifically says, all employees who come in contact with the plants at any point must have a state registry card. That makes for a very unique and small employment pool.
